The Gladiatorz vs Blacknights

Less than 1 day prep -1 hour cap – all styles

Outcome: Win| Zybez link | Gladz link | Tip.it link | Video link |

Being declined several times, we had a hard time getting a fight for this weekend. So, we finally decided that our only option if we wanted a fight was to fight our old pals, the Blacknights. We set it up at around 9:30 EST the night before for 4:30 EST today. A rather short prep for us. BK accepted and was eager to fight us. We knew it was going to be a challenging fight. These are the rules we set up:

  • Spiders to East Tree
  • Five sniper cap
  • No cape switching or wearing other clan’s color
  • no corrupt
  • rings allowed
  • Team to kill crashers
  • posting allowed
  • lowest pull defends
  • All Styles

We had a very impressive 41 yes’ on our sign-up. Good job on the activity Gladz! We were only expecting ~35 to a less-than-a-day prep, but thanks to some careful planning and excellent communication we managed to notify many of our members to be here to give BK a top notch fight. So we mustered up, and went to scout worlds and met up with BK at Moss Giants before the fight to compare starting options.

BK Starting: 40 (120 options)

Gladz Starting Opts

Gladz Starting: 51 (153 options)

We knew despite the number difference that we’d have a great fight and we were not disappointed. It started off really evenly. We gained a slight advantage thanks to some quick transitions once we recovered from rushing spiders. We kept a fairly solid lead for quite some time then BK regained their composure and started to come back about 3/4 of the way through the fight. We didn’t let up, however, and managed to get some nice transitions with under ten minutes left. We kept the pressure on BK right to the end.

Gladz Immediate Ending: 117 options(39 People)

Full Ending Opts

Gladz Full Ending: 144 options (48 people)

BK Ending: 96 options (32 People)

Much respect BK. You earned it today, you put up a good fight. Thanks.

As our snipers began to kill targets, we closed our grip on the fight and ended with 15 fighters.
