It'll presumably up the available power/damage output creating more power creep and more stratification between top tier players and the rest of the player base when it comes to PvM.  

 

Wish dxp had been in October.  November is going to be so much busier for me! Alas.  Good excuse to make some more overloads while everyone has wells out though.

If I end up hosting it, it will remain on TeamSpeak. I know it contradicts the "We've moved everything to Discord, TS no longer exists" line of thinking, but Discord's voice chat quality and connection is comparatively trash. If Bonus XP weekend ends up falling on one of the weekends I'm travelling this month (likely), I would implore whoever ends up hosting karaoke to do the same.

I'd be very worried that this would be prohibitive towards new member attendance. Not to mention anyone who uninstalled after we moved. 

 

About a day ago our server reached level one which let us increase the voice quality. It may not be as bad now.

I have 70k planks, which would get me 120 with some left over. But I know there is roughly 0% chance I'll have the attention span to use them all so I also bought a bunch of black dragonhides.

It's been level 1 since whoever else boosted the server after me when we allowed everyone to join, with the recent Discord Nitro change with boosting it just hit level 1 "again" due to peoples boost re-applying to servers they've already boosted ( i think they changed the req'd # of boosts for Rank 2/3 only).

I'm too lazy to go check ( idk if i can even see such info) what the audio kbps is for the karaoke room on TS compared to our Discords 128kbps global.

Alternatively, if you prefer, you’re free to enjoy Double XP Weekend just as you always have done! It’s entirely up to you.

Seriously though, we recognise that the burden to stay logged in sometimes gets in the way of real life, so we’re really pleased to make sure everyone has plenty of time to take advantage of as much XP as possible in a far more relaxed manner.

Any unused Double XP time will be removed at the end of the event on December 2nd (12:00).

This is awesome to see!  I'm glad that they are taking note of the mental health strain people put themselves through on these weekends.   At first, I thought this was going to be a long week of it.  However, I am glad to see that it's just a timer and there is no need for people to cram everything they can in 36 hours vs a 36 hour timer of dxp.   Thank you for the post Deathcon

 

 

Edit:  The only thing I wish they had was the ability to toggle it on or off.   I afk mine at work and don't want to waste dxp on that haha

While this is cool for people who have work or other obligations it sort of ruins the event spectacle that these have become. All in all a healthier approach to it all, but dang.
