In need of anime recommendations!

Hey all, I’m currently sorta “caught up” on my watch list, having only a few things that I need to catch up on. I’m wondering however what shows you would all recommend! Obviously the fall season is bringing a bunch of good shows so if there are any fire shows you’re looking forward to watching that I should also be excited to check out send them my way! If there happens to be older shows from past seasons that you love and would consider a staple list those as well! I’m sure some of the things listed will be things I’ve seen, but having a large pile of recommendations might be good for me and others to look to when trying to find something new! Let’s see your best!

I guess that’s a few. I’ve watched Naruto up to Shippuden twice but it’s been a minute and have been meaning to get back around to trying it. Also would love to get in to One Piece, but I know it’ll be a good while to actually catch up on that... Also after typing all this I might just have to post a link to my anilist or some sort of anime tracking site haha

Definitely some ones in there I haven’t heard of. Both Full Metal’s were great. How do you fall in choosing between the two? I feel like I fall with what seems to be the majority in liking Brotherhood better.

I had read a bunch of the manga for That Time I got Reincarnated as a Slime but have been meaning to watch the show. Thanks for the reminder! Also most of the way through Re Zero. Code Geass has been added to the list!

Somali! It’s on my watch list. My tears are ready for it! Promised Neverland was awesome! Excited for the next season! I started watching Fate/Zero... stopped for some reason... seeing Grand Order gifs though has been reviving my desire to give it another shot!

I will warn you, Code Geas is a rollercoaster, and you may be interested in the first episode, it may take more time. Its one of those you either love, or hate.

Grand Order

The OST is fantastic too, the action scenes are on point. I'd also be lying if i said I didnt like Mash / Ushiwakamaru / Quetzalcoatl - seeing their noble phantasms is really something.

Some anime's which I've enjoyed in my time. Perhaps a bit cliche and dated with nothing new, but still enjoyed them over the years. I feel it's been so long I simply can't recall everything I've seen. Maybe I'll add to this bit by bit.

Anime Series/Mini-Series

Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ (only because I watched it in my childhood years)

Saint Seiya (the original - I haven't watched and sequals or off-shoot series' based off it)

Robotech (I enjoyed it. It's a joint production between American and Japanese produces and originally released in the U.S.)

Goldenboy

The Ping Pong Club

Bubblegum Crisis

Record of Lodoss War

Trigun (yeah, Moto mentioned this below, and I totally forgot about it!)

Movies

Vampire Hunter D

Akira

Ghost in the Shell

Mobile Police: Patlabor & Patlabor 2  (The second one is a slow one for sure)

I recently started watching Naruto Shippuden because I've never seen it. Then I realized why I quit watching anime in the first place... it's like 50% filler episodes or more.  I can't recommend anyone waste their time on something with 500+ episodes if most of it is filler.

That being said these are some I used to watch:

Outlaw Star

Cowboy Bebop

Trigun

Ruroni Kenshin/Samurai X

Full Metal Alchemist/Brotherhood

Yu Yu Hakusho

Inuyasha

Digimon (first 2 seasons)

Monster Rancher

Evangelion

Gundam (all of em)

Ghost in the Shell

BERSERK
Berserk 90s anime adaptation
Berserk golden age arc movies (1-3)
 >Ignore 2016/2017 anime series< embarrassingly bad quality adaptation (good soundtrack tho, ty shiro sagisu)
Berserk Manga

Irregular at magic high (magic high school/military)
Steins;gate (time travel/psychological thriller)
Black Lagoon (criminal/mercenary type)
Hellsing Ultimate (best vampire)
Jormungand (child soldier traveling with arms dealers)
Juuni Taisen (similar to Fate series, battle royale type, fast story/action)
Seraph of the End (vampires/demons/war/)

I was first introduced to the "original" Full Metal Alchemist, then after a couple of years Brotherhood was released.

I'd say watch Brotherhood, but watch the other one as well due to it having a movie associated to it. It is also a good tale by its own :)
