I envy your PC.. I tried going for a red/black build myself, but I was tired when I ordered my mobo, which ended up being a black and blue one :(

I'm pretty sure I paid extra on a few parts just to keep the theme going.

I was on a pretty strict budget, so there was no way for me to keep my theme.. The only thing that doesn't match is the mobo though.

Sexy af bro :aww:

I have a love/hate relationship with computer building. Unboxing and putting everything together is really fun, on the otherhand you always have to expect something to go wrong, and its never simple when it does :(

Although it wasn't major, the liquid cooler was missing the Intel 115x mounting bracket which made me wait 2 weeks for it to be shipped, just staring at it and not being able to use it.

Just built a new PC (and replaced my monitors), so I figured I'd post my new setup:

fG38mlr.jpg

When gaming I'll usually have forums/reddit/PC Specs (temps, fan speeds, etc.) on the vertical monitor, and then have videos on the right-most monitor. When working (coding), I'll have my working version on the right monitor, any research/documentation I'm using on the vertical monitor, and the center will be split between my text editor and my CLI.

Here are a couple pictures of the computer as it was being built:

0stZPLk.jpg
DF1DLnP.jpg

Specs:

CPU: Intel i7 8700K (OC to 5.0 GHz @ 1.3v)

Motherboard: Asus ROG STRIX Z370-E

GPU: EVGA 1080 Ti SC2 iCX

RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x8GB @ 3200Mhz

SSD: Crucial 1.1TB M.2

Cooler: Noctua D15

Case: Fractal Design Define S

Keyboard: KBParadise V80 TKL

Mouse: Ducky Secret

Headset: Steelseries Arctis 7

The two side monitors are: BenQ BL2420PT 24"

The center monitor is: Dell S2417DG 24"

Holy @Dnovelta your desk setup looks amazing, I'm jelly af. I was gonna grab a 1080ti myself but felt it was unnecessary, dang.

I was actually only planning to get a 1080, but I checked out a shop in SF and saw that they had this card on sale and it was like $60 less than what Amazon had it listed for. I even asked them to confirm that the sticker price was right. But the double checked and it was correct, so I just bought it on the spot.

I love the card though, everything looks great and is smooth AF on the 165Hz monitor.

Can confirm, feels so fucking good.

The PC is silent AF though. These are my idle specs:

91c378c98efa62cac985559e989e4a1f.png

There are a total of 7 fans in the case: 2x on the cooler, 3x intake, 2x exhaust.

Even under gaming load, I don't hear anything. The only time I've really heard the PC is when I've stress tested it.

I'll get some screenshots of the specs while some games are running for comparison.
