Deathcon
Setup Protean logs - used to burn sticky fungus that roots you in place and saps your stats. You can replace this with any logs if you do not have Proteans, they are handy because they stack. Pontifex ring - when charged with 1k Bik anima Extreme hunter potions + Super fishing potion (Can swap this out with a main skill instead of fishing; mining, woodcutting are alternatives) higher levels result in better resource gathering rates. Higher levels also determine the damage you deal to the boss when his core is exposed. Perfect+ potion is also recommended. ALL 4 STYLE TOOLS ARE REQUIRED (Mining/Woodcutting/Hunter/Fishing) Toolbelted items work EXCEPT HUNTER a butterfly net is required. Waterfiend can be useful to stock up on materials, currently they do not get deleted from the familiars inventory between kills. For gear, a skilling outfit of your choice + accompanying aura and tool. excal offhand for BD is recommended The Arena The general premise is to get 2+ people in each quadrant and collect 15+ materials and deposit them in the next and subsequent quadrant over. You want to deplete the main node so that its bar depletes giving you a damage buff first then gather from the minor nodes next to it. After each statue has the required materials you rebuild it then pray at it; praying at it will expose the core and it will be 1 of 4 skills to drain the bosses HP North->South routes have a mushroom minefield with a bare row in the middle Stand at the bottom edge of the stairs and surge OR BD straight then Surge or BD again to the edge of the other stairs to cross safely The outlined purple is a safe row in which you want to land. The East->West routes have a mushroom agility obstacle, they will be sparkling indicating the correct route to take, this can change. Like the image earlier you will run 1 or 2 corners over to deposit your materials - generally if you leave your starting area first you head over 2 corners In this image Player 2 gets 15+ HUNTER materials first so they take the BLUE path You can use this example but shift it for different materials for every single corner. Once your statue has 15 of each of the two materials you REPAIR the statue - this unlocks the PRAY option. DO NOT PRAY unless others are ready to pray in tandom with yours, the only exception is if there is This will appear next to the boss, this needs to be dealt with in one of two ways -you remove the energy fungus along with everyone else, they share progress -you PRAY on the statue and complete it opening the bosses core. Each statue can open the bosses core and give it a set time before its blocked off again if you PRAY at more than 1 statue and complete it you will get the additive time of both. Once the bosses core is exposed you "skill" and deal damage -any level reductions reduce your damage, -higher tier tools deal higher damage -higher skill levels boost damage -lower levels deal less damage ( level 70 will deal less damage a hit vs level 99 ) After opening Croesus's core, there will be particle effects surrounding it occasionally. You can click the core when this happens for the following effects: - White: 500 poison damage - Green: 1000 poison damage - Red: Heals the boss 2500 and the game flames you eg. 99base with t70 tools deal about 1458 damage a hit 116 skill (Extreme hunter ONLY) results in 1760 damage a hit 104 skill (Super mining/woodcutting/fishing) results in 1580 damage a hit. Once the bosses HP runs out you win. Timing of boss mechanics Quote 0:15 - Move at 13, bomb drops at 15 0:30 - Move at 25, Fairy Ring Teleports at 28 0:40 - Blob spawn 0:50 - Move at 48, Bomb at 50 1:05 - Freedom/Anticipate at 1:00, Stun bomb (freedom) 1:10 - Sticky Shrooms 1:27 - Move at 1:25, drops at 1:27 1:40 - Fairy Ring Teleport 1:50 - Slimes 2:04 - Bombs, move at 2:02 2:15 - Stun bomb 2:23 - Sticky Shrooms 2:23 - Middle energy Link to comment

Kris_Kronkle
It would seem the crystal mask spell was given additional functionality with the new boss release that lets it block one of crosus attacks. Link to comment
Kate
Most people I've seen use yaktwee stick instead of net, is there a benefit to using net instead? Link to comment
Kate
Also! During the final stage when the core is exposed there are colored particles floating. When the particles are red if you click you will heal the boss. When the particles are any other color you can click to deal extra poison damage. Link to comment

Yaktwee is a hunter tool but it only gives +2% xp(I think its this amount) so it works. We're not entirely sure of what works and doesn't as its still day1-2 (I've heard rumors Crystal fishing rod doesnt help(+ %catchrate) since you're using a net for algae but fishrod-o-matic works(??) Increase success chance since its you barehand catching spores much like you barehand butterflies/moths/imps. Link to comment

We have been doing 5man kills skipping one statue. We've had pretty good luck with it so far! (We got the fm skilling offhand and had a pretty decent split!) It's also possible to completely skip dealing with the energy fungi in the middle, though we think it lowers your contribution and thus your loot potential. If you miss those it's +40 to the enrage so we were skipping if we were under a certain threshold for faster kills. This boss is so much fun to play around and strategize. Link to comment

If boss reaches 100 enrage OR your skills get reduced enough from certain mechanics before you super restore them back to normal you lose and are placed outside. Getting hit by mechanics increases his enrage/lowers your skill levels, Link to comment
