Tips for getting started in Archeology

I am going to train archelogy soon and dont know where to start. Can anyone share their tips for a beginner to the skill?

Archeology is a great skill. I'm not sure your other stats, but if you have (/end up getting) invention, you can unlock something called the auto screener. This turns any soil you would get into materials. Used in conjunction with signs of the porter (which transport materials directly to your material bank), you can afk for long long long times doing archeology!

I appreciate the links and tips. I've also just got started in skilling archaeology. So far, and for some reason lol, I'm having a ton of fun leveling up. It's very relaxing and the lore is kinda cool.

go for an augmented mattock asap, also def get a grace of the elves for afk!
