I see a lot more untrimmed div capes nowadays. I remember my friend telling me to keepsake mine before i got a 2nd 99 because it was rare at the time, being a new and excruciating skill to train.

I trimmed it with Strength. Feelsworseman.

I had untrimmed magic a year or two ago.. Thank you Abyss   Regret not keepsaking it when I had the chance.. Trimmed with firemaking.. I feel gross now.

I had multiple 99s before the capes came out so I'll never know what it's like to have an untrimmed cape.

You can untrim Elite skills, but it is "harder" since you already have 80+ in the required skills.

Not sure why you'd want to do that, I personally hate the look of the invention cape
