Dnovelta
Agreed, movie was great. I feel like it had one of the better storylines in the MCU. Link to comment

For sure. It felt like it had significantly more plot and emotional development than most "Intro" movies in the MCU. There was still plenty of action, but the movie felt more dependent on badass character work than badass action, which is exactly what I prefer. Link to comment
AmusedDragon
Seeing it tomorrow. Hope it doesn't suck. Link to comment

James
He has slowly become my favorite character in the comics over the years. It was subtle but every time he would show up in a story I would get so excited. For that reason I now have a 5 year old cat named T'challa. I was relieved that the movie of his namesake didn't suck! While I felt the pacing was a bit slow at times it was overall an enjoyable movie with a lot of fun characters. Michael B. Jordan is always fun to watch and stole the show at times as Killmonger. Erador
Solid movie. I feel that much of the social commentary over the role of females and ethnic portrayal of the characters was a little over blown (e.g. when the special herb is offered to a rival king over the kings sister, etc.). Highly recommended, nonetheless. Link to comment
Memphus
Thor: Ragnarok was the recent standout for me, the best of all MCU movies. Black Panther is probably in the top 5 though. Link to comment

To be fair, I think that was the smart choice considering Killmonger had the powers of the Black Panther and superior training to his sister, who's best weapon was her mind. Give the herb to a warrior who's already an insanely strong beast instead. Link to comment

But anyway, I don't think that it takes away from Black Panther being a great movie, I just don't think it is a progressive as some people made it out to be. Link to comment
