thegreatwha
Apparently there has been some confusion surfaced within these forums about the following matter. Is this image below... (a Chicago Style Deep Dish Pizza) ...this? (a classic Calzone) Link to comment

Sirsir
Chicago-style pizza doesn't even deserve to be called a calzone, as it is nothing more than a particularly unpalatable casserole. I was trying to be nice before, but you forced me to impart the truth of things. Link to comment
Hess
Chicago style is a good idea in theory but terrible in execution. If you want a solid deep dish or pan pizza it’s Grandma style/Sicilian, or none at all. Now to further incite a riot, I’ll argue that pizza made in NJ is better than pizza made in NYC, albeit the same style, NJ has a way better execution, and yes im bias as a native of NJ and former pizza maker and restaurant manager https://whnt.com/news/food-wine-names-10-best-pizza-states-in-america-and-new-york-isnt-in-the-top-spot/amp/ Edited October 15, 2021 by Hess Link to comment

Devin
It's just really thick soup in a baked bread bowl shaped as a pie. Link to comment
