sorry to spoil it .. you don't get the pet at end of quest.

 you have to go back and do more fishing  to get  " waddle" as pet .. and pain in rear to tell yah .. like  lust said in chat..  they INVISABLE spot .   ugh .. but  i got it ..   just weave over the pond till you see  fishing ..   after  gathering 10 it will move..  and repeat.  until you get 30 count then you get waddle.
