I'm going to Vegas for the first time tomorrow.

Any recommendations on what places I should go check out? (restaurants, bars, casinos, clubs, anything)

I'm 21 so age restriction wont apply :D (I think)

I've gone to Vegas roughly twice a year for the past 5 years. I own a condo at The Platinum, right behind Bally's.

For your first time, pretty much just walk down the strip entering every casino. Whenever you decide to gamble, be sure to flag down a waitress and ask for a drink. Tip her $1 every time she brings you a drink and she'll be back within 5 minutes with a fresh cold one, without you even asking, before you even finish the one you have.

Getting a pass for the tram is a good investment too if you want to see the north end of the strip (like the Stratosphere).

If you're a poker player, the MGM has a really good $80 tournament twice a day, with usually about 100 people. I've won it twice. I also like playing in the tournaments at smaller casinos like the Hooters casino, because you get a lot of shitbag drunks and it's a really really easy win.

For touristy stuff, don't go to any of the shooting ranges within the city, they are overpriced and suck dick. The guns are bolted to the counter and you have to lean over awkwardly to shoot them. The Hoover Dam is worth seeing; the wax museums are not. There are so many fun free shows you can get too, like the Bellagio fountains or the Treasure Island musical. You'll probably win or get handed tickets to at least 1 free magic show: I'd recommend you go, even the free ones are awesome.

For clubs: be prepared to spend a shitload of money. Vegas is great because it is the cheapest vacation: the food is cheap, the drinks are free (if you gamble), and the hotels are as low as $20/night. But go to a club? Expect to pay $40 cover and $15 per drink. Personally, I'd just stick to gambling (for the free drinks). I love the "Party Pit" blackjack tables at the Excalibur at night. It gives you that "dance club" atmosphere while you gamble. Win big and the ladies grind up on you all night. Good times! :)

ALSO #1 MOST IMPORTANT PIECE OF ADVICE: BRING REALLY GOOD WALKING/RUNNING SHOES. You will walk at least 10 miles per day for your entire stay.

Depends on how much you're willing to spend/lose. If you want my advice for a presumably short on cash 21-year old, hit up all of the casinos and sign up for their freeplay for new members. Some casinos don't offer anything, but others will give you freeplay for up to $20. If you want to milk it, sit at the bar and order the best drinks you can think of. Even if you're playing $0.25 hands, your drinks will (well, at least should) be free as long as you have a certain amount of money in the machine. My first night in Vegas, I got a free $20 freeplay to the Cosmopolitan from a voucher I got on my flight in, spent 4 hours drinking Maker's Mark (they were priced at like $18 each) and getting shots with my friends while slow playing $0.25 cent hands of video poker, bumping it up to $1.00, if they came and bitched at me. I ended up getting my $300 bar tab comped and made $15 playing video poker. If you want to do that, just put like $50 in the machine and when you want to go, withdraw your money from the machine, and use the ticket on the money machine to get your money back.

If you want to sight-see, check out Cesar's Palace, the Cosmopolitan, and the Bellagio fountain at night. I don't know of many more places, since I spent my 3 days there inside casinos getting drunk. If you want to play table games at low cost, go to Old Vegas, which is a few miles away and like a $20 cab ride from the Strip. The casinos in Old Vegas have much cheaper tables (some at $5 minimum). The best table games to play to milk your money are Pai gow > craps > roulette. Based on the odds of Pai gow, you basically break even 50% the time, win 25% of the time, and lose 25% of the time. And of course, drinks are free if you're playing table games.

Bro, that's not true. I had all these guys in the streets offering me a free limo ride and cover for midget stripper night at some shitty strip club. I had other plans that night, though. (H)

But yeah, definitely bring comfortable shoes or you'll be miserable.

I don't mind this at all, walking around is the plan, especially since we're leaving at around noon, we'll be getting there around dusk. Perfect timing.

This I did not know, thanks!

Gabby, if I make a mill, it's not staying there :D

Oh yeah I completely forgot about the Players Clubs, that is fantastic advice for your first time!

A cool trick with that is they will give you the $20 or $50 gambling credit or whatever. So you stick that into a machine. But you can't cash it out. So EVERY SINGLE TIME you win an amount of money, even if it's like 5 cents, press the "cash out" button. Then you'll end up with a big pile of small tickets (which you can add up together by sticking them into another machine), and voila you'll probably have about that same $20 (in real money now). If you don't cash out every win though, then your next spin will use up that "real money" before it uses up the credit money.
