That i s a shitload,but very likelu not the richest. There are probably still accounts hoarding 1k of every partyhat colour. Zohm and I thought we were rich when we had 6 full sets, but that was quickly crushed when someone showed us a stack of 500 red phats (reds were never duped).

from what i understood at the time of duping, all phats were duped and only some were mass duped and dropped in value. Purple phat was mass duped along with rune sets and r2h. Are you sure reds were not duped at all?? they stayed at the bottom of the price range at the time of duping while blues rose up.

You're right. I suppose other than the guy who did the duping himself, nobody can truly know for certain what was actually duped. I just seem to have a recollection of Jagex saying that pink partyhats were the most duped item, and everything else was insignificant.

Yes, that's spot on. There is nowhere near enough demand to sustain the current prices. If the guy decides to cash out and sell his entire stack of furies, the market for that item would become so depressed that it would likely trade for its alch price or perhaps even lower since people can only buy 10 every 4 hours. Would likely take years for the price to recover.

 

Here is a real example of someone flooding the market with around 2M unicorn horns. He made like 2bil profit but he said it wasn't worth it because of how many months it took him to get rid of the stock.

 

Another relevant example would be that of the archer rings, which can be found in this article. A player decided to flood the market with around 2M archer rings and this is what happened to the price:
