Steve Posted December 30, 2014 Share Posted December 30, 2014 Been a while since I've posted around here, but got bored and gathering opinions. I'm looking for a new home lab project. I've got an incoming server to my house that I'll have ESXi and a lot of VMs on. Dual 6-core CPUs and starting with 24GB memory, so plenty of room for messing with things. I already have VMs prepped for home network use, but looking for some interesting projects outside of what I've done with local VMs on my workstation. Have a cisco router incoming that I have some plans for, but any ideas including that are welcome as well. Some may have much more experience than me, or know of something they'd love to mess with and just never got around to. That's basically what I'm looking for. I'm heavy into linux distros (linux admin for over 2 years at a DC), but open to anything. Even if it seems basic, please feel free to suggest. I typically stumble upon something simple, and make it much more complicated than it has to be just for the hell of it. Link to comment
