Car info:

99 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited with infinity sound system

Recently my cassette deck quit working so I've been trying to find another stock unit to replace but I cant find one under $60. I'd rather not pay that for an old unit (even though I prefer the stock look, not a fan of the amount of lights on these aftermarket units..) and found these parts, they're guaranteed to work with my particular setup and even include all the mounts/trims/harnesses for free.

I can get all of this for $160 + free 2 day shipping, would these be a good upgrade from a stock 17 year old sound system? I'd be using my stock amp too, not sure what that would mean in terms of it working or not. I have zero clue about car audio stuff. Also, if I'm understanding this correctly I also qualify for a $70 MIR bringing the total cost down to $90

Looks like a good base setup, it'll definitely be better then the stock system but I'd be looking at possibly replacing the stock amp as well, depending on it's wattage and if it can handle the new gear. I'm with you on keeping the stock look though, some of the head units with all the colors and equalizer moving around are just straight up annoying.
