Yes I've been present during many duos and heard about people's solo ROTS kills.

You need be have a quick reaction speed and be able to do a good DPS rotation. You're always under time pressure. Many teams require t90 weapons and Dps gear

ROTS was impacted when they fixed the walking mechanic a while ago. Wasn't an update specifically for ROTS

They fixed walking at specific bosses, including ROTS. You can still walk some bosses, you can still walk regular monsters, probably some quest bosses.
