Well it just seems that we ARE advancing in the sciences and technology a lot quicker than we previously were. Even though it seems like we aren't making those huge scientific breakthroughs like discovering today's equivalent of gravity or the theory of relativity.

But I'd like to be proven wrong, I'd like a nice read.
