I've actually talked at length with Jade about this topic. Well, about the boards being dead, not that Gladz is dying.

We concluded that the rise of Friend Chat and Clan Chat directly correlated to a drop in the activity of the boards. People used to troll around on the boards while training afk-type skills. Now, they just chat in game.

This is one of the most active clans I've been in, in years. There's always someone online and chatting in-game. Forum activity could be better but it's not too bad. We pull good numbers to fights and that's one of the most important things.
