Actually that video card sucks. Buy a better one and that computer will be fine. You can run RS & browser-based games with that card but most likely not any other games.

Here are 2 NVIDIA Cards under $200 that will handle most games on high settings:

GTX 550 TI 2GB: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130652

GTX 550 TI 1GB: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130625

The only difference between them is that the first one has 2GB of memory dedicated to video, the other only has one. I think it's easily worth the extra $25 for the extra 1 Gig of memory. I bought that first one and it's a great card. Runs Skyrim on High-Maximum settings with no problems.

I didn't know how much full of shit you were until I read this post. I have a even shittier laptop gfx card NVidia GeForce 310M, that's only 512MB and I run non-RS and non-browser based games just fine.

That includes TF2, L4D2, Skyrim (Medium,+adv options), LFS, and others. Don't tell me that his card would be shit.

The Nvidia GT 520 costs less than $50 on Newegg. It's barely any better than the onboard graphics that are integrated into the motherboard and it is not meant for gaming. It's only real benefit is the extra memory dedicated to video. It's pretty pointless to get a 3.4 GHz Quad-Core CPU and hold the whole computer back with a $40 GPU.

graffix card will be throttling cpu performance in games.

i won't fully agree with moto x, because my new laptop has a gt 540, and that card has run every game I've played, including portal 2 and skyrim at the maximum setting with additional settings that don't even get turned to max at high turned to max (and runescape LOLLL) without any framerate drop. Running auto-setup for games like WoW and RS just had every setting at max with the fps pinned at 60. like x16 antialiasing and shit. The processor is really a piece of work though. Just amazing.

Mine is an i-5 2430, 8 gigs of ram, gt 540, with a few other things and I paid 579. fucking deal. ALSO HAS A BLURAY PLAYER.

YAHOO ANSWERS AS A SOURCE LAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL^^^^L

There is actual evidence that a bottom-end card (which that is not) is 6x more powerful than the onboard card being shipped with intel processors.

You make it seem as if all that matters when looking for a video card is the cost associated with the card. Cost means nothing. Certainly a better card is going to cost more but just because it's a cheap card doesn't mean he won't be able to play most games at reasonable settings with very little video lag. If you'd like to look up how different cards compare to each other check out this site:

Seriously though, his card isn't the best but it's not complete shit.

For $1,100, you could have bought much better. I just upgraded my entire PC with an i7-2600k/new MOBO/PSU/RAM, and it only cost me $550 after rebates. From there, any decent graphics card as well a case to put it all in would not be expensive. You could even buy a GTX 560 Fermi/Ti 2GB + $70 case, and still be under $1100 after the newest CPU/decent MOBO (wouldn't even hit $1,000). With that kind of PC you wouldn't have to care about anything because it will run anything you throw at it. I do not understand why people don't build their own PC's.
