CLAN CITADEL

The castle in the sky

This guide is for those unfamiliar with how the citadel works and to help make things easier!

Clan Citadel was introduced in July of 2011.

The clan Citadel is Located in the Clan camp just South of Falador! You can enter the portal to access the clan citadel.

Once entering the clan citadel there are various locations and activties you can partake within the citadel with clanmates.

Currently we are Tier 5 which means we have multiple skilling plots which are an easy way to contribute to the build towards the next tier as well as get some xp reward while doing so.

Probation period:

When you are first accepted into the clan chat you will be on probation period of at least a week before you can contribute to the citadel. This is done by entering the citadel after a build tick. The only exception of this was when the update first came out and before the first build tick.

How the Citadel Upgrades:

Every week we will have to gather resources to upkeep and upgrade different skilling plots, tier upgrades, or even a battlefield or another type of update available at the time. Based on these needs we will accordingly in most cases set goals and sometimes caps on the resources to aid a guide for what we need the most of.

If we are unable to maintain the upkeep costs the citadel may downgrade during the next build tick. That said if we are able to maintain the upkeep as well as reach all the upgrade requirements we can move up a tier during the next tick.

Map and citadel layout:

Tier 1 and 2

2 skill plots

2 2x2 hotspots

2 4x4 hotspots

Tier 3 and 4

4 skill plots

4 2x2 hotspots

2 4x4 hotspots

Tier 5 and 6

8 skill plots

6 2x2 hotspots

4 4x4 hotspots

Tier 7

12 skill plots

8 2x2 hotspots

5 4x4 hotspots

1 Dragon Perch hotspot

Obviously its not always in the same format depending on what tier we are we can adjust how the plots are spread across the map with customization options. Opening up the map should allow you to teleport to skill plots and hovering over the teleport tells you which skill plot or location the teleport will take you.

Resources:

There are an abundance of resources you can collect to help contribute to the next build. The resources available to gain xp at vary by tier.

Rations - Cooking xp

At tier 5 we have already unlocked all of these with the exception of the Rations(cooking) plot which we can unlock in tier 6.

So Why are we doing Citadel?

Obviously for the free somewhat afkable xp, it attracts some recruits surprisingly, and Joe wants a Dragon. Simple Enough ^_^

Collecting some resources will allow you to collect a ring from the Quatermaster. This xp gives you extra xp outside of the citadel in one of the skills that you can train in the citadel. Simply collect the ring use it on the plot of your choice and you will get some bonus xp for a short duration while training that skill in Rs.

The clan Cloak will also receive stars for each week you contribute up to 3 stars. The cloak with the stars will offer an percent bonus while skilling at the plots up to 45% as well as reward you with the fealty reward once a week which you can use on any skill of your choice.

*Open to any suggestions of things to add or remove. Any input is appreciated :D

we should stress that every week before afk-ing to max out, everyone should get the 200 minion resources as they can be used for any need

Addition ideas: That you can get clan cloaks and bank them from the same dude. And an explanation of right clicking to receive the cloak's fealty reward. Maybe a guide on doing the charcoal area because it's confusing.

Otherwise good stuff!
