Why am I lagging while gaming?

I'm lagging while playing TF2 and such. I can't imagine what GW2 is going to be like. Here's my speedtest:

Processor: i5 2400S - 2.5ghz

VC: Nvidia Geforce GT 520

Thanks :-)

As for TF2, it's probably the new updates they have been rolling out. It's always like that for a while it seems. At least for me. :(

I've noticed more lag as well. Probably has something to do with MvM

Yeah I guess it could just be TF2.

When did you move to Colorado and why o.O and have you updated your gfx card drivers etc?

Three weeks ago. No real reason why. A few friends were coming out, so I decided to tag along. I got a job making snowshoes for Crescent Moon. It's sweet.

And no, I haven't updated anything. Where do I go to find these?

still on that shit laptop or do you have a desktop now

Your card is terrible for gaming (I previously had the same one).

Any recommendations that are sub $100?

I'm afraid I don't know enough to give any recommendations. I had a friend help me pick a new one out and ended up spending ~$200.

go to nvidea's website and they will auto detect your card etc... you probably should get a new card but yeah you're looking more at 200 for a decent low end card.. maybe 150. TF2 does lag though, and that sounds sweet about Colorado!

Radeon HD 6670

Thinking of getting one myself. Gladzgasmic (James) has one too.

Just make sure your MOBO can fit it. I'm not sure about the PCIe (e for express, is it smaller than PCI?)

PCIE x16

The thing is with the 6670, James has one that's also connected to the PSU for extra power. I guess they vary.

Higher-end chips require more power than most typical stock PSU can supply. Typically, if you're upgrading your gfx card you'll want to check your PSU and the chip's PSU requirement before deciding on one to buy if you are strapped for cash.

So when I'm browsing, it's like my cursor lags. My computer isn't using more than 3% and I'm not downloading or running anything other than itunes. I've replaced batteries etc. Is my mouse just dying? What if my computer mat of 5 years is just too dirty (it's a little dirty)? Is life was we know it over?
