Deathstar
All parts bought - http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2puT8 $105 in mail-in rebates that I took out of that final price15% cash back on my mobo + HD =~ 30 dollars that i didn't take out30 dollars off from some V.me rebate that i didn't take outaround 20 bucks in shipping costs that weren't accounted for that i didn't add in----------total is going be around $790 assuming i get all the rebates back. still planning on buying some sort of liquid cooling and an SSD. Mobo is z87I would like to get a WIFI Mobo but they're like 200 dollars1080p monitors for nowWill probably get another 8g ram at some point laterPSU is gold rated and cheap enough to be reasonablegtx 770 because it's showing to be better than the r9 280x and I like nvidiaCase because it's plain and large enough to fit the GPU inWindows 8 from /r/softwareswap for 20 bucksAfter the SSD and win8 it should be right around 1k before the mail-ins which will probly take a while. Dan G
Duno about your budget but I've heard that a GTX 780 TI is basically on par with a Titan for a lot less. Maybe the 780 standard might be a better option just for more for your money. Obviously that'll bulk up your cost and I'm not sure about the PSU requirements but may be worth considering. I was thinking of getting a 770 or 780 in the near future so having this internal discussion myself. Link to comment

Dreviore
The R9 280X overclocks better then the GTX 770 just so you're aware. Overall it provides a better bang for your buck. That and the R9 280X is cheaper, and overall performs better. Plus Mantle (Even though they haven't released Mantle yet ignore this and just refer to the fact that it's cheaper and performs better and overclocks better) Edited November 25, 2013 by Dreviore Link to comment

Plus Mantle (Even though they haven't released Mantle yet ignore this and just refer to the fact that it's cheaper and performs better and overclocks better)Everything I've read the gtx 770 outperforms the R9 280x in single-gpu situations at 1080p. Plus the 770 has better reviews and cooling systems by now where as the 280x is new and still has issues with artifacts. Anyways the build is shaping up really well. $53 for the RAM - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231455&nm_mc=EMC-IGNEFL112513&cm_mmc=EMC-IGNEFL112513-_-EMC-112513-Index-_-DesktopMemory-_-20231455-L0H $39.99 for the case - http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1723741&CatId=1509 Link to comment
Deathstar
ordered psu for $54.99 from newegg - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817438005 looking for a deal on a http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/searchtools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=8041582&SRCCODE=LINKSHARE&cm_mmc_o=-ddCjC1bELltzywCjC-d2CjCdwwp&utm_source=Linkshare&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=8BacdVP0GFs&AffiliateID=8BacdVP0GFs-JtUvO53VVbtEdXlTxONXcw and a gtx 770 windforce. Tigerdirect has 15% off your order up to $500 if you use a BofA credit card. Their price on the Mobo I want is so ridic tho so ill wait a few days for their sales to change up. If i get HD+mobo+processor it would be around 500. I'd have to pay tax but then i'd get 15% off my total. so processor after tax would be ~$199.50. hopefully they have a $60 WD or Seasonic 1tb HD on sale soon. + TD is doing 30 dollars off for paying with VME. Sadly they raised all their prices (i5-4670k is 340!) so the deal is kinda shit when you total tax and shipping. Link to comment
Deathstar
i5-4670k is on sale at newegg for 209.99 + free shipping today so i'll be buying that at midnight PST. Will probably buy MoBo from TD using the 30 off + 15% cash back. 190 + shipping&tax minus 30 and 15% cash back. bought gpu 329.99 free shipping from NCIX - http://us.ncix.com/products/?sku=84048&vpn=GV-N770OC-2GD&manufacture=Gigabyte&promoid=1029 current build - http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2aZnD Link to comment
