Call of Duty Thread

I liked the demo when it first came out and I got used to the differences in gameplay compared to COD, but the lack of having a team to play with is why I never got it.

I finally got the defib today. I single handedly changed a game where we were getting completely dominated into a win with that thing. Won the rest of the time that I played. So much fun running around with that fucking thing reviving everyone rofl

Trying to decide on whether or not I want to sell Black Ops. Got a Platinum in it and I never do the campaign or mulitplayer anymore. If only MW3 had zombies ;(

There's still a demand for it, and a friend told me he got like $20 or $25 for it somewhere. If I went to Gamestop, I'd probably exchange it for a used copy of Red Dead Redemption since I already downloaded all of the DLC off of my cousin's PSN account. :l

Well I did get really into the COD series but it's becoming too same old for me, personally.

And it will remain to do so.

Don't get me wrong, I will buy MW3 just because I've been playing COD for too long that it does intrigue me to see how it actually performs. However they have confirmed that it's not going to be anything different than what they've already been doing. They said that they're just going to be reforming certain things, making sure things that were in MW2 are toned down to a state of balance. One positive thing, to me, is that they are working on making the game more patch-friendly in terms of coding. That sounds good because like people in this thread have said, they aren't the most consistent with that sort of thing.

Still, we need more games that push the genre forward. Call of Duty have stopped doing this. That's why I'm mainly looking forward to Battlefield 3. Everything about that game looks like something brand new and belonging to be a proper 2011 game.

We'll see how things go though, I admire Battlefields marketing budget to try and compete with COD. Bold stuff.

The death of Call of Duty. The new Frostbite 2 game engine blows me away.

I was watching this just waiting to point out something bad about it.

It actually seems like a solid game, I liked the way the guy died when he got sniped. But we'll have to wait and see how multiplayer is. I could careless about campaigns, never once finished a COD campaign.

The Battlefield 3 presentation at EA's E3 2011 press conference kicked off with a soldier admiring his toy dinosaur keepsake. Most of you, myself included, probably didn't read much more into this moment than "Oh hey, look! A dinosaur!"

There's more to it than that, though. A while back, a thread on 4chan was started by someone claiming to work for Activision. Their post asked for feedback on Modern Warfare, and the replies proceeded to talk all about the startling lack of dinosaurs in those games. Hey, it's true! (4chan conversation: http://i.imgur.com/xkvwS.png )

I know what you're thinking, and nope, this isn't a coincidence. Check out this tweet by DICE gameplay designer Gustav Halling. Incredible. (Tweet: https://twitter.com/#!/gustavhalling/status/78029240041345026)
