Wasps -- and bees -- find their sugars this way! This occurs in Fall, when there are few to no blooming flowers available to forage for nectar. They need to get their carbohydrates somehow, so they seek out sweets, commonly found among humans! (In nature, they primarily find rotting fruits.) Link to comment
